One of the most common questions I get from the community is:

How much can a PeerLLM Host actually make?

Before we get into numbers, it’s important to clarify a few key points.

First, PeerLLM does not generate revenue yet. We’re still in the experimental phase, where we’re observing and improving the network with the help of volunteers. This phase allows us to analyze system behavior, ensure security and reliability, and validate that the network can be both safe and profitable for everyone — individuals, businesses, and communities — once fully launched.

Second, all figures shared below are based on my analysis of real PeerLLM network activity, including traffic patterns during both peak and off-peak hours. These numbers are estimates only and may change as the network evolves and moves toward final release and general availability.

With that said, let’s walk through the math — transparently, realistically, and with the understanding that this is an early preview of what’s possible when the network matures.

The Setup

A single PeerLLM Host serving 1 token every 100 milliseconds generates about 10 tokens per second, or 36,000 tokens per hour.

If that Host runs 8 hours a day, it produces:

36,000 × 8 = 288,000 tokens/day
288,000 × 30 = 8,640,000 tokens/month

The 8-Hour Case

At PeerLLM’s current calculation rate — 100,000 tokens = $1 USD — this equals:

8,640,000 ÷ 100,000 = $86.40/month

That’s $86 per month for part-time usage.

The 24/7 Case

If the same Host runs continuously:

10 tokens/sec × 3600 sec × 24 hr × 30 days = 25,920,000 tokens/month
25,920,000 ÷ 100,000 = $259.20/month

That’s about $259 per month for 24/7 operation.

Multiple Conversations (5 Parallel Chats)

Each Host can handle several conversations in parallel.
If one handles 5 concurrent chats, the throughput increases fivefold:

25,920,000 × 5 = 129,600,000 tokens/month
129,600,000 ÷ 100,000 = $1,296/month

So a single machine at full speed could earn roughly $1,296 per month.
